Ann has been writing, in one form or another, all her life. She has written marketing copy for more than 10 years, including championing the Santa Rosa Symphony for six.
Before moving into marketing content, as Ann Wilkes, she authored numerous works of short science fiction, largely reminiscent of “Twilight Zone,” with a little added humor; articles; and memoir. In 2014, she co-edited Cry of the Nightbird: Writers Against Domestic Violence, an anthology that achieved finalist status in two indie book awards. Her favorite form of writing, as an author, was flash (typically fewer than 1000 words) fiction. Ann loves being cleverly concise.
When not writing content and marketing emails at West County, Ann hikes, dances to live music with her husband, Kevin, and rides on the back of his ST1300. She also runs Sonoma County Dance Beat, an organization that supports the local, live music scene, primarily with a comprehensive online calendar. With her passion for the environment, she walks to work, avoids plastics when she can, and recycles and upcycles like a fiend.
