Overview

History, Charm, and Quality

Hook & Ladder’s history stretches back to 1970, when a San Franciscan firefighter named Cecil De Loach, along with his wife, Christine, purchased 24 acres of wine grape producing land. Cecil and Christine started producing their own wines under the De Loach label in 1975. Today, under their new label Hook & Ladder, the couple leads their family team in producing excellent wines grown from some of the world’s best grapes.

Hook & Ladder wanted their website to represent the professionalism, quality, and history of their company while maintaining clarity.

The final design is clean, user-friendly, and seamlessly incorporates all of the necessary links and info while keeping a focus on the company’s rich history and high-quality products. Photos of Hook & Ladder vineyards, grapes, and wines are accompanied by the signature Hook & Ladder firetruck, bringing history and charm to the forefront.

The new site represents Hook & Ladder’s position as an expert wine producer in Sonoma County while showcasing their family-run business charm.
